How Did We Get Our Bible, Anyway?

I, myself, prefer the King James version of the Bible although I do like the Amplified one as well from time to time. I know there are errors in all translations, but I still believe the KJV has the least and is the most reliable, for one reason, the translators were under penalty of death to translate it correctly. I know there are a lot of debates among Christians in this area. That brings me to the question at hand: How did we get our Bible, anyway? I went to my favorite Bible teacher for the answer, Chuck Missler.

I heard this teaching on the radio the first time and was glad to see it on youtube so I could get a refresher course. Chuck goes so in depth into this and most every subject he teaches on. He looks at the subject from all sides and takes you around the mountain a few times and then ties it all together in a way that makes sence. I hope you will take the time to listen to all he has to say.

In this segment Chuck goes into the New Testament and some on the controversy in the versions.

I hope this provided some understanding for you as it did for me. It was a good day for a Bible study.

About Kathy

I am semi retired and had lots of free time on my hands. I still work part time as a bookkeeper at the little hardware store in our small town but I still had free time to fill so I became a blogger here at The Harley Factor. I also am a compulsive beader so I started a beading blog to show off my bead work call Compulsive Beading. As I have gotten older and mostly wiser I have become very opinionated on a lot of subjects and will share them with you from time to time when I can't keep my mouth shut. Kathy Sinclair

  1. Reblogged this on These Christian Times and commented:

So you seek answers to find the truth about which Bible to rely on. The only way to get to the truth if its you seek it. You have got to want it. When people come and ask you how can you trust the Bible that at least you can arm yourself and defend the reason why you choose the Bible you have. Dont be lazy about Gods word. Seek it and he will show awesome and great wonders that you d not know.

  2. Great Job Harley. U are awesome
