A few years ago there was a law suit submitted against the IRS for them to show the American people the law that required them to pay Federal Income Tax. The result of this law suit was that Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled that the government doesn’t have to show the American people the law. Could this be because there is no such law?
There are 2 types of taxes that the government can impose on the people according to the Constitution. The first is a “Direct” tax, which is to be “equally” distributed among all citizens. The key word is “equally”. The second is an “Indirect” tax, such as the gas tax or tax on tobacco or alcohol. You only pay this tax if you buy the products it is attached to, but you can avoid paying the tax if you don’t buy the products it is attached to. It’s your choice.
This begins to explain the progressive income tax step 2 of the communist manifesto which is unconstitutional in more than one way, and the federal reserve step 5 of the manifesto, which granted the Federal Reserve the power of the congress in the constitution in detail along with their influence on our system. This is supposed to be a Constitutional Republic not a Communist country.
The summary of all this, in my mind at least, is that we are being forced to pay a tax that is not a written law and is not Constitutional, but carries severe consequences if we don’t. This should make all of us angry enough to demand a reform of the tax laws to a flat tax or federal sales tax that would comply with the Constitutional definition of a legal tax.
