The NSA is Watching You and Me

A couple of weeks ago my computer was really acting up. I had signed up for internet security thru what I thought was a Microsoft company a few days before that. One morning while I was doing some online banking I couldn’t get the information to download. I called the bank and they said my account had been attached by a virus. So now I am wondering why my internet security is not working? It says it is when I check out the icon on my desk top. When I look farther, it seems I was fooled.

I tried to purchase and download a security system I had before, but it won’t download so I call them. The tech was very helpful and I gave him access to fix my computer and download the security software. As he is starting his fix it he says “Oh no! what have you done?” I’m thinking now “Oh no! what have I done?” I tell him about the supposed Microsoft security I had purchased. Then he tells me what happened.

It seems my computer was infected with malware and worms from this phony security system. They could watch every key stroke I made and even watch me thru the webcam. He said they could see and control everything I was doing if they chose to. It took the real security tech and a real Microsoft tech almost 2 hours to repair my computer from all the malware and worms to make it secure again.

I used to joke about the NSA spying on us. Who would care about what I had to say anyway? Right? Well, evidently they did care about what I had to say and even what I looked like. I can’t say positively that it was the NSA, but it sure could have been.

I am semi retired and had lots of free time on my hands. I still work part time as a bookkeeper at the little hardware store in our small town but I still had free time to fill so I became a blogger here at The Harley Factor. I also am a compulsive beader so I started a beading blog to show off my bead work call Compulsive Beading. As I have gotten older and mostly wiser I have become very opinionated on a lot of subjects and will share them with you from time to time when I can't keep my mouth shut. Kathy Sinclair

  1. This is so scary. I cannot believe how crazy the whole NSA Spying can be

    • It is pretty scary. I’m also wondering what will happen when the US gives up internet control, which it is going to do soon. I’m not sure who will be takeing it over, but at least for now we in the US still have freedom of speach. Will we still have it online when something else is in the control seat. I’m going to have to do some investigating into that. I also wonder if we who do speak out on what is important to us on blogs etc. will end up in some internment camp one of these days. Lots of things are pretty scary these days.

  2. Interesting!!! Yes, NSA can get their tentacles where ever they please. I met someone that used to work for the UN and she told me that her PhotoBooth app on her Mac would take random pictures of her – without her touching anything on her computer…. Yes, NSA is watching you – and GOD is watching over EVERYTHING.

    • So many things in the country that are going on now are just wrong. No one is beneath the governments interest in what they are saying and doing. I think they are making a list of people who don’t agree with them. Thank God He is watching everything and we are safe in the palm of His hand no matter what happens.

      • Yes, and this is our hope! A wonderful hope. Ever since my eyes were opened about what is really happening, I’ve never, ever looked at news the same way.

        Bless you, sister.
