Some of My Favorites From the CPAC Convention

There were a few highlights shown on some news stations of this years CPAC Convention, but all in all, there was very little coverage on this. We have an important election coming up this year and in 2016. I think it’s important that we know who some of the possible choices are and what they think.

Of course I have picked some of my favorites to highlight. The first being Dr. Ben Carson. A man, who in my opinion, is an honest, God-fearing man who really says what he thinks and sticks by what he believes. A man of principle and integrity.

Rand Paul is another of my favorites. In the beginning of his speech he says he is not there to talk about just electing Republicans, the lessor of two evils, but lovers of liberty instead. I had been of the Republican persuasion for a long time up until lately. Now the main stream Republican party does seem to be just the lessor of two evils these days. We need brave conservative lovers of liberty and the Constitution back in our government. Rand Paul won the straw poll at this years CPAC.

Although this man, Wayne LaPierre of the NRA, isn’t running for office his speech is very telling of the sadness that many of us feel at the degrading of our faith in government because of it’s lies and undermining of our Constitutional rights. He says, rightly, that we already know something has gone terribly wrong in our country.

Some of my other favorite speakers this year were Mike Huckabee  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53lNbmp4nq4 and Jim DeMint of the Heritage Foundation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTarSCsNNl4.       I hope you all will listen to some of these speakers for yourself. They are all available on Youtube. Some of these speakers rekindle a little hope in me that we can still turn this country back around to what it was meant to be.

About Kathy

I am semi retired and had lots of free time on my hands. I still work part time as a bookkeeper at the little hardware store in our small town but I still had free time to fill so I became a blogger here at The Harley Factor. I also am a compulsive beader so I started a beading blog to show off my bead work call Compulsive Beading. As I have gotten older and mostly wiser I have become very opinionated on a lot of subjects and will share them with you from time to time when I can't keep my mouth shut. Kathy Sinclair

  1. I would love it if Ben Carson would get picked to run for President. I truly believe he is an amazing indvidual. Would lead and right the ship the way is needs to be sailed

    • I would love it too. I forgot to add, he also has common sence, which isn’t that common anymore. If he could get elected I would have some hope for this country. We also need to get some of the old guard out. I am praying Ben Carson is on the ballot.

    • I know they won’t either. At least not enough to make the differance. Too many in this country have “drank the cool aid” of liberalism and socialism.
