Learning to Hunt

Collies are normally sheep dogs or movie stars, but last night I got a taste of what it would be like to be a hunting dog. Skeeter and I were outside last night when a bird flew over Skeeter’s head. She jumped at it and to my surprise (because Skeeter is old and very short) she caught it. The bird got away from her and started fluttering around the yard with Skeeter right behind it. Of course that caught my interest and I had to see if I could catch it too. I soon learned the technique of jump and pounce and I caught the bird. About that time my mistress opened the door to call us in so the fun was over. She took the bird away from us and threw it over the fence never to be seen again. I think bird hunting could be pretty fun. Hope I get to do it again.

About Kathy

I am semi retired and had lots of free time on my hands. I still work part time as a bookkeeper at the little hardware store in our small town but I still had free time to fill so I became a blogger here at The Harley Factor. I also am a compulsive beader so I started a beading blog to show off my bead work call Compulsive Beading. As I have gotten older and mostly wiser I have become very opinionated on a lot of subjects and will share them with you from time to time when I can't keep my mouth shut. Kathy Sinclair
